“Ooooooooo! Fudge!”

I am in “heaven” right now… my mail man wanted to know what was in my special box today!  It was a scorcher outside once again and I politely teased him as I trotted back to the safety of air conditioning and said, “Never You Mind!”.  He’s used to me doing this as I’ve known him for many years now and he’s a dear, dear man.  (He just doesn’t know he’s getting one of these boxes for Christmas!)

I’m talking about my delivery from my friend and Secret Sister Carol at “Clutterbug Studio”!

“DIVINELY DECADENT” is what my prize should be labeled… It’s pure heaven with every bite and I savor each one slowly….

"Oooh Fudge!" in Creamy Peanut Butter Flavor!

"Oooh Fudge!" in Creamy Peanut Butter Flavor!

Beautifully wrapped with a delicate pink bow and a tiny spoon to serve yourself with.  I couldn’t wait to open my fudge and I used a much larger spoon!   I wanted MORE at once! I quickly scooped up my bit of “heaven” and………. “Oh! MY!”……….  you have to just order some for yourself!

I don’t think my dear husband will have any of my “heaven”.  He’s already asking if I have saved him some.  Dare I tell him that “Half the jar is gone?”….

Order your “Ooh Fudge” from Carol at http://www.clutterbugstudio.com/catalog.php?category=70

She will be glad to send you “heaven”.

“2009 Florals Calendar”

Well we have really enjoyed creating this wonderful gift!  I cannot get enough florals surrounding me.  If you ask my dear husband, he will tell you he feels he lives in the middle of a florist cooler!

Flowers are soothing and that was my choice for my first fabric calendar for 2009!  Beautiful designer floral fabrics are chosen for each monthly panel to allow you to have that “floral” touch year round.

We’ve continued through the year with each floral panel different from the next and simply added the satin stitching embellishments to compliment the colors of the panels.

Tied with grosgrain ribbon, your calendar will stand on it’s own and flip with ease!

Show ~ N ~ Tell!

I have a love for dolls… since the first doll I received, Christmas 1964 that cried when her arm was lowered and drank from a fake pink baby bottle that held real liquid!!  We really thought we had something there and the older dolls with their weighted eyes and LONG lashes still bring back many fond memories for me.

I tried several years ago to learn the art of Fimo molding hands feet and faces, sculpting dolls like my favorite artist, Patty Culea.  This is my first doll created in 2003.  We laughed hilariously as she came to life because she reminded my elderly mother of “Phyllis Diller”!

She hangs proudly in my sewing studio and watches over me while I work… I still stare up at her and smile… she really turned out as I wanted her to, a matronly “Tooth Fairy” complete with Fimo molars and stitched by hand using antique doilies, 1920’s lace collar for her gown and blue topaz stones with heart dangles gracing her hair.  Her lace collar gown is accented with Majorca seed pearls.  Her toes are  painted RED and she gracefully carries a Pink Tourmaline stone as a toe ring!

Ahhh… I had such fun creating her and she went on display for years in my shop.  Eager children would want me to lift her glass covered throne so they could touch her sheep’s wool hair and “Ooooo and Ahhhh” over the “Queen Tooth Fairy” as we finally named her.

Wasn’t the Tooth Fairy a special time for you as a child?  It meant the passing of youth to an older age was your onset.  “Time to grow up!” my dear Nana would say as she placed my tooth under my pillow… for the tooth fairy. “You might be lucky! The ‘Queen Tooth Fairy’ may grace your sleep!”

“Queen Tooth Fairy” brings back the memories of “peeking” at my Nana while she slipped a quarter under my pillow as I slept.

For SHE truly was a “Queen” to me.

“Show~N~Tell!”

Vintage Styled Cell PouchDidn’t you just love “Show N Tell” as a youngster in school?  There was always the pet turtle, lizard or gerbil… and the stories that went with them as well as the ballerina slippers, tutu’s and finger paintings or crayoned drawings… Excitement gleaming in the eyes of the storytellers.

Show N Tell Mondays at Make Mine Pink bring back the memories of having fun with something we’ve just found that’s exciting enough to tell everyone about! Today we’re boasting about a new creation that is taking our lines by storm!

Vintage Styled Cell Pouches

We’ve taken a wonderful design from digitizing designer and fellow Sensible Chic Diva, Sherry Titzer and created and embellished the “Vintage Styled Cell Pouches”.  Each pouch holds your cell phone securely to your belt, belt loop, purse handle or hanging from your favorite tote!

Each cell pouch is embellished with a vintage brooch and pewter charms that represent the buyers lifestyle.  An initial in Edwardian Script is embroidered on the front pouch.  The closure is magnetic and easily opened and closed again with a “SNAP” of the magnetic clasp! You don’t even have to open the magnetic clasp to remove your phone!  The ample pocket design allows for fingers to easily grab the phone from it’s soft pouch and return it when finished!

Created in an In-The-Hoop style (completely stitched and formed inside one embroidery hoop!), this creation screams, “I WANT ONE!”.  Very functional and can be created in YOUR fabrics or from our selections.  “Vintage Styled Cell Pouches” with a choice of fabrics releases this week at http://www.lafemmerose.com

These designs are precious and ready for you to own!  Made to order – the “Vintage Styled Cell Pouches” are $14.99!  Contact us at sales@lafemmerose.com for more information.
